Argentina: Pig slaughter increased nearly 5 % in first quarter

Swine slaughter in the first quarter of 2025 reached 1,957,330 head, up 4.7% from the same period in 2024.

The results by province indicate that Buenos Aires accounted for 49.6% of the slaughter with 970,364 head, while Santa Fe and Córdoba accounted for 17.8% and 17.4%, respectively.

Specifically for March, there were 663,229 head slaughtered, 2.5% more than in the same month of the previous year and 5.6% more than in February.
