China becomes one of the three largest buyers of Russian pork products

In the first nine months of 2024, Russia exported about 200 thousand tons of pork and by-products worth USD 430 million, up 23% in volume and 27% in value.

The leading export destination was Belarus (65 thousand tons, +14%), followed by Vietnam (59 thousand tons). China, which opened its market for Russian pork in February 2024 after a 15-year ban, took third place with a volume of about 30 thousand tons worth USD 78 million.
