The system which has been patented by the UdL, is known by the name of IPF (Intelligent Precision Feeder) and allows each animal to be fed in an automated manner according to its necessities and performance, thus reducing the cost of feeding and the production of residues. According to the results obtained, they are capable of reducing the consumption of protein and of phosphorous by 25%, thus decreasing by 35 – 45% the nitrogen and phosphorous of manure.
