Romania reports ASF outbreak affecting nearly 18,000 pigs

Romania has reported an outbreak of African swine fever (ASF) to the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) affecting a large swine farm. The outbreak started May 16, 2023, on a farm with 17,885 susceptible animals. The farm is located in Cenei, Timiș County.
