Jalisco is Mexico's leading pork producing state

The state of Jalisco consolidated its leading position in the country by contributing 41,254,873 tons of food in the agricultural, livestock, and fishing sectors. This amount represents 14% of the national production of 294.5 million tons.

In terms of production value, Jalisco was also the country's leading state, totaling 195.252 billion pesos, well above second place: Michoacán with 104.133 billion pesos.

Regarding the livestock sector, Jalisco, as in the previous cases, ranks first, with 5,504,360 tons, representing 22.8% of the total national production, with a value of 108.507 billion pesos, 20.4% of the national value. This includes 380 thousand tons of pork.
