Long-term projections for U.S. pork production and exports

According to USDA's long-term projections for pork production, the United States will produce 12.51 million metric tons of pork in the year 2022, down slightly (-0.3%) from the 12.55 million metric tons expected to be produced in 2021. In 2023, 12.87 million metric tons of pork is expected, which would represent a 2.8% increase from 2022.

Regarding pork exports, USDA anticipates the U.S. will export 3.36 million metric tons of pork in 2022. This would represent a 2.7% increase from the 3.27 million metric tons expected to be exported in 2021.
