U.S. to plant less corn, more wheat and soy next year

The USDA estimates that 92.0 million acres of corn will be planted in the 2022/23 crop year, down from the 93.3 million planted in 2021/22.

Soybeans planted will cover 87.5 million acres, up from 87.2 million the year prior.

Wheat plantings will increase for 2022/23 with 49.0 million acres, up from the 46.7 million acres in 2021/22.

Sorghum, barley, and oats will see 6.7, 2.7, and 2.8 million acres respectively in 2022/23.
