EU - Commission clears acquisition of Merial by Sanofi-Aventis

Sanofi-Aventis is active in the research, development, manufacturing and marketing of human pharmaceuticals and vaccines, whilst Merial is active in these areas concerning innovative animal pharmaceuticals and vaccines.
The operation was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
