First reported case of PRRS in Nepal

On April 26, the first outbreak of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) in Nepal was reported to the OIE. The outbreak started on February 25 on a commercial pig farm with 356 susceptible animals. The origin of the infection is currently unknown.
