Record-breaking European pork exports in 2020

Following the upward trend of recent years, last year was once again a good year for European Union pork exports. There was an 18.8% increase over 2019, with a total of 5,428,747 t exported (not yet considering the United Kingdom as a destination for EU exports).

China, which now accounts for 61.1% of total EU exports (+10% over 2019), increased its imports of European pork by 45.2% over the previous year, reaching 3,346,588 t, followed by Japan (359,943 t), Hong Kong (283,633 t), South Korea (195,066 t) and the Philippines 152,855 t).
