ASF in China: financial support for pig farms

With the aim of helping pig farms to overcome the difficulties and to stabilise pig production, therefore ensuring an effective supply to the market, the Ministry of Agriculture has urged the provincial authorities to offer financial support. The Ministry urges the institutions to simplify the process for the obtaining of the credits, as well as to guarantee that they are available as soon as possible.

The aids, with a maximum interest rate of 2%, will be aimed at sows' farms and to those pig farms with an annual production that exceeds 5,000 heads.
