According to data provided by the OIE/WOAH, 38 domestic pig farms have tested positive for classical swine fever, this making the number of susceptible animals reach more than 88,000.

So far, the disease is still located in the prefectures of Gifu, Aichi, Nagano, Shiga and Osaka, and has not spread to other prefectures.

Regarding the cases of the disease in wild boars, as of April 19th, and starting to count from the beginning of the epidemics:

Since March 24th, 2019, an oral vaccine (vaccine in bait) has been administered to the wild boars in a selected area in the prefectures of Gifu and Aichi where positive wild boar cases have been detected.

The map shows the total number of CSF-positive wild boars found dead or captured, as well as the pig farms affected (underlined in yellow), until April 23rd, 2019.
