ASF reappears in Moldova

After several months without the confirmation of new cases of ASF, the veterinary authorities of Moldova informed the OIE/WOAH of a new outbreak of the disease in pigs kept on a backyard farm located in Besghioz (Ceadir-Lunga, U.T.A. Gagauzia), in the south of the country. The outbreak included 2 susceptible animals.

The disease emerged for the first time in Moldova in October 2016.
