France: Strategic Plan for the pig sector in the Great West

The Pig Regional Committees of the French regions of Brittany and Pays de la Loire, as well as the Norman Pig Producer's Association have decided to jointly define and develop a strategic plan for pig farmers.

The goals of the project for the creation of a POA (Producer's Organisations Association) are:

• Restore the market power to the farmers.
• Guarantee the valuation of an improvement in the collective quality that responds to the society's expectations.
• Facilitate the transmission of farms.
