Spain: Order published extending the agreement of the Interprofessional Agri-food Organization for Spanish White Pigs

The Interprofessional Agri-food Organization for Spanish White Pigs, INTERPORC, proposed the extension of the rules throughout the sector, with mandatory financial contribution, to promote consumption and demand of pork, support internationalization, optimize information understanding and transparency, and enhance quality and technological innovation in the white pig sector during the 2015/2016, 2016/2017, 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 campaigns.

By extending the rule, the following purposes will be developed:

• Communication and image in the internal market: generic promotion of white-coat pigs; direct communication with consumers; communication and image targeting physicians, nutritionists, health and nutrition specialists and other opinion makers.
• Support to internationalization
• Research, improvement and innovation in quality, health, technology, regulations or similar
• Enhancement of information, knowledge and sector transparency.
