Russia - Rosselkhoznadzor to Impose Ban on Meat Imports from 3 American Enterprises

20-Apr-2009 (17 years 1 months 24 days ago)Federal Agency for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) lifted temporary restrictions imposed on supply of products from 5 American meat processing plants (18674, 9201, 18079, 18435 and 37398) to Russia on February 10, 2009 in a view of violations of Russian legislation.
The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) of USDA had provided guarantees that in future the aforementioned enterprises would produce and export products in accordance with the corresponding Russian requirements.
Rosselkhoznadzor decided to impose temporary restrictions on product imports from the said American enterprises till the investigation for that matter is carried out.
