Denmark: reduction in the number of pig farms

According to the latest data on the number of agricultural and livestock holdings published by Danmarks Statistiks, the number of pig farms last year stood at 3,626 farms, 1,442 farms less than in 2010, and 235 less than in 2013.
In 1982, the number of farms was 55,023, which was reduced to 29,903 in 1990, 13,231 in 2000 and 5,068 in 2010.
